Chopper Spins Out of Control into Palm Groves at Frequented Southern California Shoreline
A helicopter soaring above a crowded southern California beach unexpectedly commenced twirling wildly, ultimately dropping height and plunging into a cluster of palm trees as onlookers looked on.
Recordings uploaded on the internet depict the chopper starting to spin above the beach then plunging in the direction of the border of the shore, where it ends up lodged amidst palms and a steps adjacent to the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Information
Emergency responders reported five individuals were transported to a medical facility comprising a pair who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the incident on the weekend.
Three people on the street were injured. Details on their injuries were not immediately available.
